2. Principles and legal bases
We process personal data only where necessary to operate this website, handle enquiries or take contractual/pre-contractual steps. Depending on the purpose, processing is based in particular on Art. 6(1)(b), (c) or (f) GDPR. Where consent becomes necessary for a future processing activity, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR applies.
3. Hosting, CDN and server logs
This website is hosted by Hostinger. According to Hostinger's current terms, the contracting entity for EU customers is Hostinger International Limited, 61 Lordou Vironos str., 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. Technical data such as IP address, access time, requested URL/file, referrer, browser/device information and status data may be processed to securely, reliably and efficiently deliver the website and prevent abuse.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Hostinger may use affiliated companies and service providers. Where personal data is processed outside the EEA, transfers are made subject to the applicable data-protection requirements and safeguards.
4. SSL/TLS encryption
This website uses HTTPS encryption to protect data in transit.
5. Project enquiries and contact form
When you use the “Start a project” form, we process the information you provide, in particular your name, email address, optional company, requested service and message. Required fields are necessary to respond to your enquiry; optional fields are voluntary.
Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR applies to contractual/pre-contractual enquiries. Other business enquiries are processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest being the proper handling of incoming enquiries.
6. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your email address and message to handle your request on the legal bases described above.
7. Cookies, local storage and tracking
The current version of webtreu.de does not use analytics or marketing trackers such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel and does not load external Google Fonts. We do not set marketing cookies requiring consent. Technically necessary storage/access may be permissible without consent where the requirements of § 25(2) TDDDG are met. If optional third-party services are added later, this policy and any required consent mechanism will be updated before activation.
8. Recipients and processors
Data is shared only with recipients who need it for the stated purposes, particularly hosting and email service providers. Where required, processors are engaged under Art. 28 GDPR. Personal data is not sold or disclosed for unrelated third-party advertising.
9. Retention
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose. Enquiry data is deleted once the matter has been completed unless contractual, statutory or legitimate grounds require longer retention. Statutory commercial and tax retention duties may apply after a contract is formed.
10. Your rights
Subject to the legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection under Arts. 15–21 GDPR. Consent, where used, may be withdrawn at any time with future effect.
11. Complaints
Under Art. 77 GDPR you may lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. For a controller based in North Rhine-Westphalia, the LDI NRW may in particular be competent.
12. Data required for an enquiry
No active disclosure of personal information is normally required for purely informational use of the website. To send a project enquiry, however, the fields marked as required are necessary for us to process the request.
13. Automated decisions
No solely automated decision-making or profiling under Art. 22 GDPR takes place through this website.
14. Changes
We update this privacy policy when the website, services used or legal requirements change. The version published here is the current version.
